Mountain View Upper Room – An Abaze Prayer House
What is this place?
We are a small prayer room that facilitates a co-working space so professionals can spend more time in the prayer room.
We are a horizontal House of Prayer. What does that mean?
Most Houses of Prayer are vertical, primarily focusing on ministering directly to the Lord through music, singing, prayer, meditation and reading God’s word. Their emphasis is on a direct connection with God. As a horizontal House of Prayer, our focus is entirely on prayer for people. We are a people focused prayer house. To further this mission, we also provide workspace opportunities for those who wish to participate in the prayer room.
What to expect when you arrive?
Music will be playing on the TV or speakers while the prayer house is open. It will not be at a loud level, but will be heard in the downstairs. If there is ever a conflict between the two spaces, priority will always be given to the upstairs prayer room.
Can I bring my work laptop/tablet/cell phone into the Prayer Room?
We understand Tech jobs require immediate responses to their employers. We ask that you keep your laptop/tablet/cell phone usage to only urgent requests. If a work situation arises which requires more than a minimal response, we ask that you go downstairs to the coworking space.
What are the hours?
Our calendar is fluid. Please check it frequently.
Can I brink food and or/drinks upstairs?
We ask that you please do not bring any food. Drinks are welcome
Who can play the instruments?
We ask that unless you have been given permission to play an instrument by a Location Host, please don’t play the instruments. However, we are always seeking for more musicians. So please ask.
We do have cameras
There are external and 1 internal camera in the Prayer House. You will be recorded. This is for security purposes only. We will not share or transmit the video to anyone.
